Marble Fireplace with an Inset Gas Fire

Limestone Fireplace with an inset electric fire

The original fireplace was removed and replaced with a beautiful limestone fireplace with an inset electric fire. The complete chimney breast was plastered in order for the  customer to have a crisp fresh painted finish.

Scandinavian Style Fireplace and Chimney Breast

The customers brief was to create a Scandinavian style chimney breast with a fireplace opening as a focal point for displaying flowers. Gas Stove

Pictures show how a previously un-usable fireplace opening has been cleverly brought to life by fitting a gas stove with an offset flue pipe. Hole in the Wall Style Gas Fire

Freestanding Contemporary Stove

A slate corner hearth and a freestanding gas stove made the most of this previously unused room. The room didn't have a chimney breast so a balanced flue fire was fitted to maximise the space available.

Another spectacular fire with glass on three sides, a false chimney breast with TV recess and slot to accomodate a soundbar all plastered ready for decorating. The base is prepared and supported ready for a bespoke marble top to be fitted.

False Chimney Breast with TV Recess

Stove with Flexible Flue Liner

Following a flue test it became apparent the chimney was not safe to use. As one of the by products of a gas appliance can be carbon monoxide, it is necessary to make sure that all the products of combustion of a fire cannot leak back into the house. Inglenook opening with Light Oak Beam

The light oak beam and cream chamber created here gave the room a bright new look. The old dark wood surround and grey marble hearth and back panel were removed, a flag stone hearth fitted and an electric supply put in place to allow an electric stove to be placed in when chosen.

Large Stone Fireplace

The brief for this job was to keep the existing large stone fireplace, but to replace the ineficient Decorative Fuel Effect inset fire with a high efficiency gas stove. The challenge to complete this was in removing the fireplace without damaging it and creating a rear hearth that matched the original stonework.
